Dale Brown: Director of Racquet Sports Before becoming Director of Racquet Sports in 2019, Dale served as the Associate Head Coach for the men’s and women’s tennis teams at LaGrange College. There he assisted in leading the program to some of the most successful seasons in recent program history. Brown also served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the tennis teams at LaGrange College. Prior to coaching at LaGrange College, Dale was the Head Women’s Tennis Coach for two seasons at Wesleyan College in GA. Before Wesleyan, Dale served as the Head Tennis Coach for three seasons at Frederica Academy in St. Simons Island, GA where he coached the teams to multiple region titles and one state championship. He has also worked as a tennis coach in Malibu for Nike Tennis Camps and served as an assistant tennis professional at the Sea Pines Racquet Club in Hilton Head Island, SC. Dale holds a master’s degree in strength and conditioning and a bachelor’s degree in business management from LaGrange College. He played tennis for LaGrange College in 2009-2011. Dale is a certified elite professional in tennis and professional in pickleball by the Racquet Sports Professionals Association. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Parris Brown: Tennis Court Maintenance Parris is in charge of tennis court maintenance here at Port Royal Golf and Racquet Club. He has been tasked with the new and exciting challenge of maintaining the new hydro courts, with the intent of making them the island’s best. Parris says he is blessed to be surrounded by co-workers with the same aim and intent which makes his job atmosphere less like work and more like a family. Parris is originally from Bluffton and later moved to Varnville. He is married to his High school sweetheart, and they have six beautiful children and their first grandbaby. He enjoys working at Port Royal with his dad, Eddie Brown, who’s been working here for over 30 years in the golf department. |
